Located in the heart of the Main Line, Lower Merion Township is formed by some of the
most attractive towns of that region. The Township is the closest suburban community to
Philadelphia, and is characterized by fine homes and estates, historic churches and
buildings, as well as exclusive shops and department stores.

The towns of Haverford, Bryn Mawr and Villanova, are best known for their excellent
colleges and universities. Some of the nation’s most prestigious and historical institutions
are located in this region, including Villanova University, Haverford College and Bryn
Mawr College (more information on these universities is available at www.haverford.edu,
www.villanova.edu, and www.BrynMawr.edu). These prestigious towns have many
select neighborhoods, amongst some of the most exclusive within the United States.
Each of these three towns, as well as the neighboring town of Gladwyne, is renowned
for its beautiful estates; and prospective inhabitants can chose between very old, colonial
homes or newer construction.
