Great for breakfast. Try the poached eggs with hollandaise

• The Grog
863 W. Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr.
The best burger on the Main Line. You can eat with the kids in the low-key upstairs dining room.

• Teresa’s Café
124 N. Wayne Avenue, Wayne.
Dinner for two at this modern Wayne BYOB usually costs less than $30 – try the pasta bolonese and one of the light (ricotta, basil, plum tomatoes) brick oven pies.

Teppan (tableside) cooking is always a hit with the kids.

No, you don’t need to wear green pants. Check out the crab cakes. Bartenter Joe makes the best martini around.

Wine list is divided into “light”, “heavy” and “bold” vintages featuring mostly Italian & California bottles.

If you like gobs of mozzarella cheese, you’ll adore their cheese steaks. Betcha can’t finish one!
